The Friends of Havenwoods (FOH) is a non-profit
organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and
supporting Havenwoods State Forest.
FOH members are active in habitat management and restoration projects
- volunteering our muscles and time! We provide
financial support for these projects by
participating in fund-raising events and seeking
grants.
We
support educational and recreational events for
visitors by volunteering our time and expertise. We
also provide funding for special programs and
events.
An
Endowment Fund has been established to ensure that,
for years to come, the property will remain a
beautiful and enjoyable place to visit.

FOH has been an important
player in the establishment, growth, and development of Havenwoods
for a long time. In 1976, they cut the ribbon on a
newly built bridge. The bridge helped
people cross Lincoln Creek until it was washed away
in a 1997 flood. Notice the television cameras!
