People and the Land

Havenwoods is a natural environment even though it is profoundly different from the original wilderness that covered this land. Humans have shaped Havenwoods' past and they will continue to guide its future.

As you walk around Havenwoods watch for remnants of past land uses. Be alert to the Earth's amazing power of self-healing. Look carefully for ways humans have nurtured this treasured green spot in the city.

Watch here for a more detailed retelling of the history of Havenwoods using stories and pictures.
