Support the Education Program
The education program at Havenwoods includes school-year field trips, summer field trips, and year-round public programs. In the past, volunteers have helped to care for the program animals, sewed projects, built exhibits, folded newsletters, and helped at festivals.

Greet visitors
Are you a "people person"? Greeters answer phones, talk with visitors, and pitch in while naturalists are busy teaching and leading hikes. Greeters/receptionists staff the nature center on Saturday mornings from 9 am – noon.
-
Make Festivals Happen
Without volunteers, Havenwoods couldn't offer annual festivals. If you are an energetic, smiling, and helpful person (ages 14 years and up), please volunteer to teach a craft, demonstrate an outdoor skill, serve food, or clean up the building or grounds. Winter NatureFest is the third Saturday in February. Fall NatureFest is the second Saturday in October.

Offer Clerical/Mechanical Support
"Behind the scenes" volunteers help with mailings, distribute flyers, construct exhibits, and do odd jobs as needed. Let us know if you have special skills that could support the education program.
Call (414.527.0232) or email Judy (judy.klippel@wi.gov) for more information about supporting the education program.
